So this isn't photography related, but I'm into gadgets of all sorts. I just picked up a Bose Soundlink Bluetooth speaker, and it's pretty great.
It's connects via Bluetooth and has an 8hr lithium-ion battery so it'll work anywhere you go. It works awesome with my iPhone and iPad, but I had a bit of a struggle getting it to work with my Macbook Pro. Not only is a bit tough to connect, the default A2DP Bluetooth settings on Macs is of abysmal quality. I did find this handy link though - http://danwarne.com/fix-bluetooth-a2dp-audio-quality-mac-os/ - that gives instructions on changing it. It requires a Terminal command, but don't be scared, it's easy. Open up Terminal and copy and paste the following:
defaults write com.apple.BluetoothAudioAgent "Apple Bitpool Min (editable)" 40
Then hit enter. I rebooted just to make sure the settings took hold, but that might not be necessary. I'm now listening to the mono version Beach Boys' Pet Sounds in FLAC format and it sounds great. Theoretically the Bitpool Min can go to 64, but it sounds a bit choppy once I've gone past 50. YMMV.
Also, I'm only using this to fill a small apartment at the moment, but it gets loud. Solid piece of kit.
